The Ideal Pumpkin Spice Recipe For All
Your Homemade Pies and Puddings

I recommend everyone puts together there own pumpkin spice recipe. Of all the mixes on this site, this is one of the easiest! Simply combine a few pre-ground ingredients and you're ready to go. And just because it has pumpkin in its name, doesn't mean its only good for using with this vegetable. It also works great in sweet potato soups and numerous puddings and desserts. (See the bottom of the page for links to more of my recipes)

Ingredients: (makes about 5 tablespoons)

2 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp ginger powder
2 tsp nutmeg powder
2 tsp mace powder
2 tsp ground allspice
1 tsp ground cloves

tbsp = tablespoon
tsp = teaspoon

Directions:

  • In a bowl, simply combine everything thoroughly

That's all there is to it!

Store in an airtight jar, in a cool place and out of direct sunlight. Use within 3 months.

Ingredient Note
:
If you've read other recipes on the site you'll have noticed I often use a few whole ingredients which I then grind and combine with pre-ground powders and dried herbs. But I realise not everyone has whole so for this recipe you use their pre-ground version. It'll still add tons of flavour to your dishes but without the trouble of grinding first. Click here to get the same recipe as below but which uses whole ingredients. (Link opens in new window)
