Cajun Popcorn Seasoning - Hot and
Buttery With a Spicy Twist

I recommend you try this easy-to-make homemade Cajun popcorn seasoning! Though there are many commercial recipes available, there's nothing better than creating your own and adding to your piping hot, buttery popcorn for something a little different...

...And feel free to experiment! Fancy more heat? Just add a little more chili. Like it garlicky? Add more garlic powder etc.

Note: I generally use 1 tablespoon of seasoning per 4-5 tablespoons of melted butter, which is enough for 2-3 servings.

What You'll Need: (makes about 5 tablespoons)

2 tbsp paprika
2 tsp onion powder
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tsp cayenne pepper (or chili powder)
2 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp ground pepper
1 tsp salt

tbsp = tablespoon
tsp = teaspoon

Directions:

  • Simply combine the powders and salt in a bowl
  • Crumble in the oregano. That's all there is to it!

Store in an airtight jar out of sunlight. Use within 3 months before making a fresh lot.

Note: If you like your Cajun popcorn saltier, just add another teaspoon or so of salt to the recipe.
