Basil Tea Recipe - Make and Enjoy a
Delicious, Super Healthy Cup of Herbal Tea

Making homemade basil tea is a super easy and handy way to get more of this herb into your diet. With its host of health benefits and one the most popular and used ingredients in the world, this is definitely something we all should enjoy more. Making your own is very quick and simple to do, and in just minutes you'll be enjoying a super healthy herbal tea with all the vitality and well-being uses that come along with it! What You'll Need For Fresh: (makes 2 cups)

A handful of fresh basil
2 tsp loose green tea leaves
Optional sweetener e.g honey/sugar/agave nectar etc
Enough water for 2 cups

tsp = teaspoon

Directions:

  • Boil the water in a kettle
  • Chop the basil (stalks and all)
  • Add the chopped leaves and stalks along with the loose green tea to a teapot and pour on the boiled water
  • Give everything a quick stir and let steep for about 5-7 minutes
  • After steeping, give another quick stir
  • Finally, strain into your cups, and if using, stir in the sweetener

That's it! Serve and enjoy.

How to Make Dried Basil Tea...

Whilst dried is not quite as good as fresh, you can still get a decent cuppa with some well-being and health uses. You use it just like you would with loose tea leaves...

What You'll Need For Dried Basil Tea: (makes 2 cups)

3 tbsp of dried basil
2 tsp loose green tea leaves
Optional sweetener e.g honey/sugar/agave nectar etc
Enough water for 2 cups

tsp = teaspoon
tbsp = tablespoon

  • Boil the water
  • Simply add the dried herb along with the green tea leaves to a teapot and pour in the boiled water
  • Give everything a quick stir and let steep for about 5-7 minutes
  • After steeping, give another quick stir
  • Finally, strain into your cups, and if using, stir in the sweetener


That's it! Serve and enjoy
