Chai has become very popular in the West in recent years and making your own chai tea mix is very quick and simple to do. So, if you're into making homemade spiced and herbal teas then this is the blend for you! Super easy-to-make, it'll enable you to enjoy a fabulous cup of chai anytime you like. (See the bottom of the page for more homemade mixes)
What You'll Need: (makes about 4 tablespoons)
1 tbsp green cardamom pods
1 tbsp dried ginger root (or 1 tsp ginger powder)
1 tbsp cinnamon chips
1 tbsp dried orange peel
2 tsp mix of black and white peppercorns
1 tsp whole cloves
tbsp = tablespoon
tsp = teaspoon

Store your chai mix in a cool place in an airtight jar and out of direct sunlight. Use within 3 months.
Note: Cinnamon chips are simply small pieces of cinnamon that you can purchase. Personally, I just broke a whole cinnamon stick up into little pieces.
